At the core of SAFE UNINA is the guide “SAFE UNINA – Support and assistance for Erasmus and international students. Guide to useful contacts and emergency management”, developed by the University Task Force for University Emergencies.
The guide provides clear instructions and practical information on how to respond to:
- medical or personal safety emergencies;
- psychological distress or emotional difficulties;
- administrative or documentation issues;
- harassment, discrimination or risky situations;
- economic or housing-related problems.
It also highlights essential 24/7 emergency contact numbers, such as the European Emergency Number 112 and 118 for medical emergencies, reassuring students that assistance can be provided in English when needed.
Health, psychological support and inclusion
SAFE UNINA promotes a holistic approach to student wellbeing. International students can access:
- healthcare support and assistance with non-urgent specialist medical visits through the University;
- free and confidential psychological counseling services (CPSU) in both English and Italian;
- dedicated support from the SInAPSI Center for students with disabilities or learning differences;
- confidential listening services offered by the Equal Opportunities Committee (CUG) in cases of harassment or discrimination.
